September 3, 2017. While reading about the recent fatality incident at Shippingport, I was reminded of Tom. A quick web search brought up this obituary. I am deeply saddened by the passing of your husband and father. I first met Tom when he was appointed as the Local 66 Dispatcher at the Monaca Office in 1972. It was not long before I recognized him as a man of integrity and great personal character. As an apprentice, I was eager to learn about our local union and Tom was an avid and willing tutor.
In 1986, I transferred into Local 12 in Los Angeles, and was appointed as a Business Agent in 2002. Many times as I encountered problems out on the job sites, I found myself asking "what would Tommy do in this situation". Answering that question often led me to a viable and equitable solution to the problem.
Retired myself now, I can sincerely say that there are very few men for whom I have greater respect than Tom.
Sincerely,
Ken Maylone

We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the Melisko family. Tom was not only a colleague but a very good friend. He was always a joy to be with and will be missed by his buddies from the golf course.
