Age 79, of Avalon, peacefully on Tuesday, November 27, 2018. Beloved husband of 51 years to Dorlean (Zimmer) Marshall; loving father of Walter David (fiancé Suzanne Poole) Marshall, Jr., of Phoenix, AZ, Annette Marshall of VA, Denise (Daniel) Solomon of Batavia, OH, Daniel (Kathy) Marshall of CA and Timothy (Kelly, her daughter Christina) Marshall of Evans City, PA; grandfather of Walter David, III and Virginia Marshall, Daniel and Joel (Victoria) Solomon; brother of Don (Sally) Marshall. Walter was part of a family owned business, Andrews Range Service for over 40 years. He served in the US Navy and was a member of The Buick Club. He was also very active in the car shows and was a member of the former Avalon Auxiliary Police. Relatives and friends received Thursday, from 5-8 p.m. at McDONALD-LINN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, LLC, 529 California Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15202. Funeral prayer Friday, 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in Church of the Assumption. Interment in The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations in Walter's memory may be made to Alzheimer's & Dementia Research, 225 N.
