Veronica (Jester) Crawford, age 89 Of Avalon, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024. She was born on August 5, 1934 and was the wife of the late Kenneth R. Crawford.
Survived by four daughters, Sue (Thomas) Byrne, Alice (Leo) Malloy, Tracey (Jeffrey) Eck, and Wendy Crawford; grandmother of Jennifer (Chad) Sabow, Jessica (Allen) Crawford, Devin (Meagan) Malloy Jr., Bethany(Aaron) Moore, Julia (Zack) Hubert, Kristie (Will) McCoy, Jonathan (Cassandra) Crawford, Andrew (Lexi) Eck, Kenneth (Rikki) Byrne, Kevin (Erin) Crawford, Moriah (Andres) Eck; survived by 19 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Linda Jester; brother-in-law, Eugene Hoge; and two daughters-in-laws, Mary and Kim Crawford. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Elizabeth Jester; sons, Bruce, Kenneth, and Paul Crawford; grandson, Steven Crawford; and siblings, John Jester, Nancy Hoge, and Linda (Richard) Berger.
Veronica was a Registered Nurse for many years before retirement and she enjoyed reading, puzzles, crocheting, and her occasional trips to the casino. She loved being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Family and Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the McDonald-Linn Funeral Home and Cremation Services LLC, 529 California Ave., Avalon, PA 15202, where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Allegheny County Memorial Park.
