Timothy Campbell Obituary

Timothy Edward Campbell

November 16, 1980 – April 26, 2026

Timothy Edward Campbell, 45, of Pittsburgh, PA., passed away on April 26, 2026. Born on November 16, 1980, Tim lived a life marked by quiet strength, deep creativity, and an open, generous heart. He was unexpectedly taken far too soon, and his absence leaves a space that simply cannot be filled.

Tim was a man of few words. Naturally shy, he made his impact on the world in subtle, often silent ways. His generosity, ability to forgive without grudges and to help people in need without recognition was the core of who he was. The clearest example of that was also the simplest: the bond he shared with his mother.

In a way that defines his life, his mom was his best friend. They were part of each other and lived in ways connected by unspoken but visible ways that brought a light to both of their lives.

Tim was a gifted craftsman, a carpenter by trade whose hands could bring almost anything to life. His work was never just a job; it was an expression of who he was. Creative, precise, and deeply proud of what he built, Tim gave his full effort to every project. Tim could see how things fit together in ways that defied belief. He had a natural ability to see the project finished and work backward to build inherent beauty into everything he touched. In a way that few of us rarely can say, a part of Tim will live on through his work in people’s homes, businesses, and in our communities. This is a significant piece of Tim’s legacy.

Music was Tim’s other great passion. For Tim, music meant vinyl. He was a DJ in the truest sense: someone who built sets from crates, who knew the difference between the radio mix and the album version, who understood that the right record at the right moment could change the feeling in a room. His collection spanned decades and genres from gritty underground rap to smooth R&B, and he knew exactly when to reach for each one. DJing was never performance for Tim; it was connection. It was another way he gave something to the people around him.

To his nieces and nephews — Marley, Kaia, Jaxson, Bodhi, and Max, Tim was the best kind of uncle. He was fully present with them: down on the floor, controller in hand, genuinely competing at video games and laughing just as hard as they did. He never made them feel like they had to grow up too fast. He gave them his time the same way he gave everything else: without keeping score, without needing to be asked. They will carry Uncle Tim with them in every game they play.

Tim is survived by his mother, Margaret Campbell; his father, Edward Campbell; his sister, Brenda Fisher (Brian); his brother, Robert Campbell (Jessica); and his beloved nieces and nephews, Marley, Kaia, Jaxson, Bodhi, and Max.

Tim was taken too early. But the things he built will stand. The music will keep playing. The kids he loved will grow up knowing what it felt like to be cherished by someone who gave it freely. His presence will live on in the hearts of everyone whose life he touched.
