Thomas L. Phillips Jr.

Thomas L. Phillips Jr., 94, at Masonic Village, formerly of Ben Avon, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012. He was the husband of the late Gladys (Jones) Phillips; loving father of Mark T. (Rebecca Jane), of Los Angeles, Calif., Lee A. (Rhonda Kendall), of San Antonio, Texas, R. Todd (Ann H.), of Franklin Park, Drew K. (Anita Kerr), of Houston, Texas, and Janet Phillips Shaffer (Mark Shaffer), of Franklin Park; also seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Phillips was a Captain in WWII in the Pacific arena. Friends will be received from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the McDONALD-LINN FUNERAL HOME INC., 529 California Ave., Avalon. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Community Presbyterian Church of Ben Avon, 7501 Church Ave., Ben Avon, PA 15202, with a reception to follow. Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Community Presbyterian Church of Ben Avon where he was a devoted lifetime member, or to a charity of choice.
