Age 91, of Avalon, Pa passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 17, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Shirley I. O'Brien. Dear father of Cheryl Ann Schanc and Thomas P. O'Brien, Jr. Grandfather of Justin and Misty Schanc. Thomas was a police officer for Avalon Boro for many years. He was also a proud army veteran and a second degree black belt. Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Sunday, July 20, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the McDonald - Linn funeral home 529 California Ave. Avalon, Pa 15202. A prayer service  will be conducted on Monday morning at 10:00 am at Allegheny County Memorial Park.
