Thomas E. Deitt Sr.

Thomas E. Deitt Sr., 78, of Pittsburgh, PA (15202), passed away on February 22, 2026. Born July 21, 1947, he is survived by his wife of 58 years, Linda Sue Deitt. Sweethearts since their teenage years, they shared more than 62 years together, building a life rooted in love, family, and devotion.

He was the loving father of Thomas E. Deitt Jr., Lisa L. Young (Edwin R. Young, Jr.), and Gregory R. Deitt. He was a cherished grandfather to Kyle Deitt (Santana Lardo), Katrina Deitt (Sean Doran), Edwin Young, James Young, and Levi Deitt, and a proud great-grandfather of Avaya.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Ida Mae (Baumgardner) Deitt, and his brother, Edward Deitt. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Ann (Deitt) Shinn.

Thomas honorably served four years in the United States Navy.

A private ceremony will be held. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
