Robert Thomas Russell

Robert Thomas Russell (36) of Ohio Twp., PA passed away on August 6, 2024 at Allegheny General Hospital surrounded by close family.  Born on July 28, 1988, Robbie had a sharp memory, a quick mind, and a unique way with words.  Rob’s playful sense of humor, and his genuine, loving & caring personality touched those who knew him best.  

Rob graduated from Avonworth HS in 2006 and attended Westminster College. Robbie didn’t have just a creative spark - from writing songs, stories & poetry, playing guitar & drawing, to teaching youth how to swim and to play golf; his creativity was iridescent. He deeply impacted those fortunate enough to collaborate with him, and inspired those who experienced his creativity, his art, his humor, and his kindness. 

Beloved son of Leslie Thomas Russell and James Parker Russell, III (Jim), cherished by his brother J. Parker Russell, IV (JP) and his uncle John Russell. Rob was predeceased by his brother Ben Thomas (BT), his uncle Robert Thomas, his uncle Charles Siderits, and by his grandparents Jeanne (Dolly) & Robert (Boots) Thomas; Elizabeth (Betty Jane) & J. Parker Russell Jr.  Burial will be private, a celebration of Robbie’s life will be held at a later date.
