Rebecca Thomas Osterwise

Age 61, of Kilbuck Twp., on June 8, 2012. Rebecca Thomas Osterwise, daughter of the late William Burney, Jr. and Rebecca Matz Thomas. She is the beloved wife of Donald L. Osterwise; mother of Anthony Peter Lemoncelli (Michele), David Michael Lemoncelli (Stephanie) and Nicole Marie Jeffers (Richard); sister of William B. Thomas, III (Pamela) and Howard Matz Thomas; grandmother of Isabella, Thomas, Emily, Alexander, Madeleine, Ryan and Anthony; also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Rebecca was a proud graduate of Carlow University and held many professional positions through her lifetime eventually retiring from F.B. Leopold. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who cared for animals, enjoyed cooking, entertaining and was a wine enthusiast. Rebecca was an independent woman who was concerned and cared for everyone she met and was always willing to forgive. A celebration of Rebecca's life will be held Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Community Presbyterian Church of Ben Avon, 7501 Church Ave. 15202, where she was a longtime member. Friends will be received from 9 until time of services at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Presbyterian Church, Western PA Humane Society or the Greater Pittsburgh Area Food Bank.
