Rafael A Burgos was born in Guaynabo, PR to Maria Elisa and Jose Burgos. One of seven of seven children, Rafael quickly found a way to stand out. He learned English as a secondary language and made many life long friends that influenced him throughout his journey. Rafael served in both the US Army and Navy Corps. He loved his country which allowed him to travel the world. After he completed his tour, he moved throughout the US until finding his place in San Francisco, CA. He had an infectious love for life which he was happy to share with anyone he met. He lived a rich life filled with good friends, neighbors, and surrogate family he gathered through his work at Pacific Bell, Adobe House, Verizon and Canterbury Place. Surrounded by all that support, Rafael completed a Masters in Business Administration. Rafael never measured his wealth by fame or fortune but instead by the love and respect he received from his friends and family. Rafael is survived not only by his remaining siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved aunt but also the multitude of others who have touched his heart and he theirs. Rafael Archangel Burgos had a passion for angels. So whether you knew him as Ralphie, Brother, Rafum, Rafa, Rafi, Rafiki or Uncle Fa Fa, he is now and will forever be OUR Beloved Angel. May you rest in heavenly peace.
