Rachel B. Fischer

Age 83, of Avalon, on June 18, 2012. Rachel B. Fischer, wife of the late Fred D. Fischer, mother of Holly Rae Berkstresser (David) and Fred J. Fischer; grandmother of Lindsey Rae Fischer. Mrs. Fischer was a longtime volunteer at the Avalon Public Library, a retiree from Penn Central Railroad, Coal Division and an active member of the Greenstone United Methodist Church. Friends received Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Inc. 529 California Ave. Avalon where services will be held Thursday at 11 AM. Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Avalon Public Library, 317 S. Home Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15202
