Paul W. Marquardt

Paul William Marquardt, 83, of Reserve Township, Mount Troy, passed away after a long battle with dementia, Tuesday, April 17, 2012. He is survived by his four nieces and nephews, Walt Marquardt (Julie), Sacramento, California; Susan Marquardt Rubio (Mario), Jacksonville, Florida; Nancy Marquardt Glavin (Kevin), Ross Township; and Mark Marquardt (Cara), Harmony; as well as great and great-great nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Marie and Walter; his brothers Don and Walter. Paul served in the United States Air Force from 1948 to 1951. He was an avid tennis player and golfer. He enjoyed taking care of his home on Mount Troy as well as gardening. Paul was a member of Steamfitters Local 449 since 1953. He spent his last few years at Evergreen Nursing Center. The family would like to thank the staff and Paul's friends at Evergreen. Friends will be received on Saturday from 11 until time of services at 1 p.m. at the McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Inc. 529 California Ave. Avalon.
