Mary Schlentner Obituary

Mary E. Schlentner, age 81, passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side on Thursday, May 9, 2024.  She was born on May 26, 1942, and was a long-time resident of Sewickley Hills Boro and graduate of Avalon High School.  Mary was the daughter of the late William and Mildred Weir and sister to the late June Chapman, Doloyse Romano, Felix Hammill and Zoe Motta.

Mary was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and Godmother, who was the heart and soul of her family who brought everyone together. She spent her lifetime caring for others and bringing happiness to all her family and friends. Mary was a beautiful person inside and out, whose smile was so stunning that it would light up the whole room when she walked in. She was akind and passionate soul who cared so deeply for the people around her. She worked so tirelessly to make Christmas and holidays special for all her family members.  Whether it was preparing amazing meals, getting gifts, or dropping everything to help her family, Mary would move mountains to ensure her family was happy and would always be the last at the dinner table. Mary was a member of Christ Church at Grove Farm and loved her church family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her life companion and beloved husband of 63 years, Kenneth Schlentner; two loving daughters, Mary Lynn Schlentner and Karen Heinold; five grandchildren, Donald (Sina) Heinold, Ken Mills, Karyn (Jon) Falk, Ashley Schlentner, and Ron (Mikah) Heinold; eleven great-grandchildren, Anastasia Amaya, Alexia Heinold, Aries Mills, DominickFalk, Jayden Mills, Damien Falk, Derrick Falk, Achilles Heinold, Sophia Heinold, Elias Heinold, and Otto Heinold; three siblings, Elizabeth (Kurt) Helbig, William Weir, and James (Kathy) Weir; and survived by many nieces and nephews.
