Marie "Maw" Eckert Hartman

Marie "Maw" E. (Eckert) Hartman, 94, of Sewickley, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 8, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard; four sisters and one brother. She is survived by her children, William (Carmella) of Saxonburg, Shirley (Rodney) Lipscomb, Charles (Gina), Lois, Donald (Mildred) and Richard (Jill), all from Sewickley and her grandchildren, Dwayne (Lori), Belinda (Michael) Sirianni, Eric (Amy) Lipscomb, Kurt (Kelly), Jason Lipscomb, Dana (Trever) Wilhelm, Kimberly, Chet, and Deborah (Dominic) Verdi; as well as 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Maw was always there for her family and loved them all dearly. She never drove but was always ready to run an errand, go shopping or visiting. She will be greatly missed. Friends received Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. at the McDONALD-LINN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 529 California Ave., Avalon, where services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to Good Samaritan Hospice, 3500 Brooktree Rd., Suite 320, Wexford, PA 15090 or a charity of your choice .
