Lillian M. Beatty, 84, of Emsworth, passed away peacefully on Friday, Sept. 15, 2023. Lil was born
November 6, 1938, in Sewickley. She was married to her late husband, Jack E. Beatty, Sr. for 62 years
and is survived by her four children, Hope Quolke (Paul), Beth (the late Mark) Patricelli, Jack Beatty II (Kelly), and Scott
Beatty (Claudine); three grandchildren, Christopher Quolke (Melanie), Emily Quolke and Grayson Beatty.
Lil had five siblings, Brenda Strobel (Ellen Stone), Robert Strobel (Mary), Lorraine Cochran, Gail Small,
and William Strobel (Elaine) and many nieces and nephews. Lil was preceded in death by her mother,
Lillian Strobel, and grandson Paul Quolke Jr. Lil was dedicated to serving the
community as a member of the Sacred Heart Lady’s Auxiliary and civic duty as the Judge of Elections for
Emsworth. She also enjoyed spending time as a Girl Scout Brownie Troop Leader and President of the
North Hills Twin and Triplet Club. She was a cook for many years for the Avonworth High School, Meals-
on-Wheels, and numerous baking fundraisers for St. James Church in Emsworth. Lil will be missed by
family, friends and neighbors. Family and friends will be received on Monday, September 18 from 2:00
to 7:00 p.m. at the McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, 529 California Avenue, Avalon, PA 15202. A
Blessing Service will be held on Tuesday, September 19 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery
Chapel, 204 Cemetery Lane, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
