Leonard Veron “Lenny”

Age 74 of the North Hills, entered into the kingdom of heaven at 12:15 pm on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. After a courageous battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Leonard F. Friedman and Virginia E. (Rich) Friedman. He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen (Pompa) Friedman whom he married on September 19, 2022. Dear father of Leonard R. Friedman and the late Daniel Friedman.  Brother of Robert K. Friedman, Ginnie (Art) Turner and Janice (Tom) Markewinski. Also survived by his former wife Dianne (Nick) Watkins. Lenny loved fishing for walleye in his boat, planting his garden and most of all traveling to the Outer Banks, N.C. He served in the US Army as a sergeant and then in the reserves. Also worked as a mechanic for over 50 years. Family and Friends are welcome for visitation on Sunday 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm until time of funeral service at 7:30 pm at the McDonald – Linn Funeral and Cremation Service 529 California Avenue Avalon, Pa 15202. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be donated to Animal Friends 562 Camp Horne Rd Pittsburgh, Pa 15237.
