Lawrence A. Beer III

Lawrence A. Beer III, age 79 of Sewickley passed away on Monday, August 21, 2023. He was born on May 8, 1944 and was the son of the late Lawrence A.  Jr. and Jean Patricia (Maytic) Beer. 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Ida (Huffmyer) Beer; two dear children, Debbie (Tom) Zabielski and Larry IV (Dana) Beer; two sisters, Carolyn (Ernie) Heinauer and Diane (Kent) Schwarz; five loving grandchildren, Shelby (Alex) Rowe, Gunner (Erin) Goldie, Drew Beer, Bobbie (Arne) Weiland, and Matt (Mia) Zabielski; seven great-grandchildren, Everly Rowe, Reagan Rowe, Fiona Weiland, Adelin Weiland; Owen Zabielski, Jack Zabielski, and Marilyn Zabielski; and many nieces and nephews. 

Lawrence retired as the Ohio Township Chief of Police after many years of service. He was an Ohio Township Volunteer Fireman, a member of the Mason Lodge 573, member of the Syra Shrine Cheswick, and the Blue Knights PA VII. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them. 

Family and Friends will be received on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 2:00pm to 8:00pm at the McDonald-Linn Funeral Home Inc, 529 California Ave., Avalon, PA 15202. A Blessing Service will be held on Friday, August 25 at 11:00am at the McDonald-Linn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Nebo Cemetery.
