Kathleen J. (Mansfield) Ward

Kathleen Julia (Mansfield) Ward, 93, passed peacefully into God’s kingdom, at home, surrounded by her family on Thursday, December 15th, 2022.
Born in Oil City, PA to Marshall & Helen Mansfield, Kathy was the beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Ward; loving and gentle mother to Theresa (Denise) Neil, Joseph (Linda) Ward, Stephen Ward, Mary (Paul) Cavolo, John (Darlene) Ward, Margaret (Bruce) Robbibaro. Proud Grandma to 15 grandchildren and 11 great-children. Fun loving sister to her big family of 12 siblings and instant friend to just about anyone she met. Kathy also welcomed many “honorary” Ward kids to her big family that she loved and cared for like her own including Ceil Reinheimer.
Kathy’s greatest joy in life was her family, friends whom she loved and supported unconditionally.She was a favorite in her neighborhood of Emsworth, and everyone stopped to chat and laugh with Mrs. Ward. She will be dearly missed by everyone that had the good fortune to meet her and know her warm personality, gentle soul and delightful sense of humor. 
Family and friends are invited to visitation Sunday 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at McDonald-Linn Funeral home in Avalon.A mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church, Emsworth at 10:00 am on Monday.The private burial will be held the following day.
In lieu of flowers, because of her love for all children, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital which she supported for many years.
