Karen Burkhart-Reynolds
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of our beloved wife and mother, Karen Burkhart, on September 27, 2025, at the age of 64 years old.
Born on March 3, 1961, in Pittsburgh, PA, Karen was the daughter of Joseph Burkhart and Marion Burkhart (Vetterly). She grew up in Avalon, PA, and spent her life devoted to her children, raising them with strength, warmth, and unwavering love. Family and friends were always at the center of her life, and she was a proud grandmother of four — a role she cherished deeply.
Karen had a light-hearted spirit and a gift for bringing humor to any situation. Her laughter was infectious, and her ability to find joy in everyday moments was something that made her truly special. She loved to travel with family and friends and was always happiest when "on the go" — whether that meant exploring new places or simply enjoying spontaneous outings.
Her presence brought comfort, joy, and laughter to all who knew her. She was a source of strength and encouragement, and her legacy of love and light will live on through her family and all those who were lucky enough to know her.
She is survived by her husband, Oscar Stephany, three children, Adam Reynolds, son; Lisa (Graham) Schmidt, daughter; Asten (Christopher) Pacellio, daughter, four grandchildren - Jackson, Greyson, Austin, and Kirk and four sisters, Mary Jo Regret, Melissa (Rick) Sanchez, Chrissy (Michael) Spangler, and Sharon (Derek) Mousessian.
Her love, humor, and adventurous spirit will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
