Joesph Zabawsky

Age 95 formally of Avalon, went to be with the Lord on Aug 4, 2023. He was the son of the late Stephen and Anna Zabawsky .The loving husband for 65 years of the late Delores Zabawsky. He was also proceeded in death by 8 siblings. He’s survived by his loving children Sandy DePauw (Andy) of San Diego, CA, Steven Zabawsky (Suzanne) of Chicago, IL, and Joe Zabawsky ( Sorojini) of Avalon, PA. Dear Grandfather of Ryan DePauw, Stephanie Tanquary (Stephen), Joey and Jeffery Zabawsky, Zachary , Cameron and Trinity Zabawsky. Great Grandfather to a new baby girl Charlotte Rose Tanquary. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Joe was a proud Navy veteran who served in WW2. He spent his working life in the excavation & construction industry. He’ll always be remembered for his great sense of humor and for the great love for his Family. 

Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the McDonald - Linn Funeral and Cremation Service 529 California Ave. Avalon, Pa 15202. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
