Jean M. (Spurrier) Dudra 1933-2020
Of Kilbuck Twp. passed away peacefully with family at her side on October 30, 2020.
Jean lived a full life marked by grace and dignity and was known to all as a gentle and private soul. Jean possessed an extraordinary sense of fashion and décor for which she found an outlet in retail. She began her career at Boggs and Buhl and after raising a family, she returned to work as a 25 yr. Gold Star Employee with Hornes/Macys downtown Department Stores. Her quiet ways and unique sense of humor endeared her to all. Jean was the daughter of George and Sabina Spurrier of Pittsburgh and the identical twin sister of June Melodia formerly of Sewickley. Jean married Rudolph Dudra October 17, 1953. Together, through the years, they raised a family, enjoyed small trips, dancing, playing cards, picnics and holiday gatherings. Jean was deeply loved and honored by her family; Wendy (Darryl) Pingor, Lisa (Doug) Emmett, Dana (Bill) Biel, Laurie (Tom) Downing and Michael Dudra. A proud Grandma of 9; Matt, Lindsay (Joel) Kara, Jason, Kyle (Erin) Caitlyn, Hannah, Jacob and Joshua and a great grandmother of Teagan, Landon and Eliza. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister and daughter Wendy. The family would like to thank Wendy Gilbert of Concordia home nursing for her support and compassionate care. Family and Friends are welcome for visitation on Thursday November 05, 2020 2-4 and 6-8 at the McDonald ~ Linn Funeral and Cremation Service 529 California Avenue Avalon PA 15202. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 am in Sacret Heart Church, Emsworth. Burial will follow at Christ our Redeemer Cemetery.
