Janice Freshwater

On Monday, October 4, Janice (Sheline) Freshwater/Chancellor passed away peacefully. Born in Columbus, Ohio November 14, 1934, Janice was a long time resident of Bellevue, PA. She is preceded by her husband, Oliver Chancellor, parents Guy and Retha Sheline and sisters Helen and Wanda Janine (Miller), brothers Arnet Sines, Gayland and Otis Sheline. She is survived by her children, William Freshwater (Pat Bulger), Lynn Belletti (Carl), and Michael Freshwater (Laurie). Janice was stepmother to Randy Chancellor (Bedford, PA), Tammy (Chancellor) Bucklew, and Ray Chancellor. She was a beloved Gram and GG to fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Janice graduated from Oliver High School and worked as a Shift Manager for PNC Bank until her retirement; she was well known throughout the area as owner and instructor at the former Riverview Ceramics in Avalon. Janice was known for her many talents and hobbies as well as her prankster personality.

Family and friends are asked to gather for a memorial ceremony for Janice that is being planned for November 6, 10:30 am at Bethel Assembly of God, 2501 Stayton Street, Pittsburgh PA 15212. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Pittsburgh Food Bank is suggested.
