James Craig Wood

Age 68, of Ben Avon, Pennsylvania formerly of Littleton, Colorado on September 6 ,2012. James Craig Wood, beloved husband of Judy Wood; father of Wendy Rowland and her husband Chris, Kevin Wood and his wife Kim, Bradley White, Kirsten Poole and Leslie Whitecrow; brother of Gary Wood and his wife Lana; also survived by nine grandchildren; Andrew, Allen, Adam, Carly, Cooper, Ashley, Elizabeth, Tess and Forrest and one great-grandchild; Baileigh. Mr. Wood was a graduate of Colorado State University. He earned his Ph.D. from Arizona State University in 1970 and was a professor of political science for both Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado and California University of Pennsylvania. where he received the Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award. Mr. Wood was also an avid sports fan rooting for both Pittsburgh and Colorado. Friends will be received Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Inc. 529 California Ave. Avalon.
