James H. Huffmyer, Jr.

Age 86 of Ben Avon, PA, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022. Loving husband of Susan (Holtschlag) Huffmyer.

James was a teacher in the Avonworth School District for 39 years. Jim was well known in the Avonworth Community, especially by the many students he educated and mentored during his tenure as teacher, football coach, and driver’s education instructor. He loved fishing, golfing, and playing cards with friends and family. James is survived by his wife, 7 children, 20 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Friends will be received Saturday, February 19, 2:00 to 7:30 PM at the McDonald -  Linn Funeral and Cremation Service, 529 California Ave., Avalon, PA 15202.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to an award/scholarship with the Avonworth School District that is being made in James’ honor.
