Grande, James J.
Age 91 passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday March 25th, 2023. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years Patricia (Pat) Grande (Loeffler). (Kathleen), Frank (Eileen) and Alan (Carol), seven grandchildren Kristy (Kenneth) Meier, Kevin (Sarah), Jennifer (Robert) Rizzo, Michael, Caroline, Jacob and Therese, and two great grandchildren Kenneth Xavier and Gabriel James Meier.
Son of Italian immigrants, Nicola and Teresa Grande, James was born and raised in Ben Avon with his two brothers (Joe & Pete), four sisters (Libby, Betty, Mary & Norma) along with his cousins that lived in the house next door. The Grande home was always a welcoming gathering place for many relatives and friends. He is survived by one sister Palma (Betty) Kmetik (Grande).
James graduated from Avonworth High School in 1949 and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He later earned an associate degree from Robert Morris Business School.

When not spending time with them, he could be often found on his front porch watching the Pirates and the Steelers.
