Harry S. "Hank" Comerer

On August 29, 2012 Harry S. "Hank" Comerer, age 94, formerly of Emsworth and Avalon. His passion was baseball having managed several Independent teams including the Star Wings and the Airport Team of the Federated League. He assisted many local young men secure scholarships and admission to colleges to participate in baseball programs. He was a veteran of WWII serving as Sgt. Major in the U S Army and a long time member of the Emsworth U P Church. Harry was the husband of the late Bertha M. "Betty" Comerer. Father of Judith Carson (the late Terrence) of Sewickley Hgts., Linda Kenavey (Donald) of Washington County, and Patty Roth (David) of Emsworth. Also 10 grandchildren; Colleen (Tim), Wesley, Jason (Jennifer), Sean, Meghan (Mike), Erin, Jennifer (Brian), Brendan (Pam), Robyn (Doug), and Troy (Torri) and 16 great-grandchildren. Friends received Friday 2-4 & 7-9 pm and Saturday from 11 till time of services at 1 pm at the McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Inc. 529 California Avenue Avalon.
