Age 80, a long time resident of Avalon Borough passed away peacefully in his wife Frieda’s arms on Thursday, November 18, 2021. Gary and Frieda were married for 45 years. Gary was the father of Maria Hancock and John (Amanda) Hancock. Loving Grandfather of Harper Elizabeth Hancock. Also survived by several other family members and friends. Gary proudly served in the US Navy. Family and Friends are welcome for visitation on Saturday, November 27, 2021 2:00 ~ 4:00 pm and 6:00 ~ 7:30 pm at the McDonald ~ Linn Funeral and Cremation Service, 529 California Ave Avalon, PA 15202. A funeral service will be celebrated in the McDonald ~ Linn Funeral Chapel on Saturday evening at 7:30 pm. Burial with military honors will be conducted in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 10:00 am.
