Frances “Frannie” (Butler) Scherle, age 83 passed away peacefully on Thursday March 28, 2024 surrounded by family. She was born on October 14, 1940. Loving wife of 62 years to the late William “Bill” Harry Scherle and daughter to the late Harry Regis and Mary Ellen (Keene) Butler.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Laurie (Robert) Kaib and Amy (Sergio) Posterivo; four grandchildren, Mallorie (Don) Longo, William Kaib, Madison and Natalie Posterivo; two great-grandchildren, Hayden and Norah Longo; sister, to the late Harry “Corky” (Lois) Butler and Mary Ellen (Robert) Miller; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Frannie was a devoted Catholic as a member of Assumption Church, Regina Coeli Parish. She grew up in Evans City and graduated from Evans City High School (1958). Frannie was a proud member of “The Camera People” alongside her husband Bill. She took great pride in capturing every memory and family moment. She was a lover of all sports, Christmas music, traveling the world and the North Hills Marching Band. She was the biggest cheerleader and supporter of her family in all their life endeavors. She was incredibly loved and will be greatly missed by many. Frannie is now at peace and once again in the arms of Bill, the love of her life.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Frannie and Bill Scherle on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Assumption Church, Regina Coeli Parish. 45 N Sprague Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15202.
