Florianne Stump

Florianne Stump, 68, of Avalon, formerly of Emsworth, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, after battling cancer. Born Dec. 18, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Miles and Audrey (Anderson) Stump. She was a 1961 graduate of North Allegheny High School. After graduating from the St. Francis Medical Center School of Nursing in 1965, Flori worked there as a nursing supervisor until 2002. She served on the board of the St. Francis Nursing Alumni Association and was an active member of the Eastern Star. Flori will be remembered as a loving and caring aunt, sister and friend to everyone she met. She is survived by her brother, Russ, sister-in-law, Sylvia; nephew, Matt; and niece, Lindsay, of Winterville, N.C. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of memorial services at noon Saturday at the McDONALD-LINN FUNERAL HOME INC., 529 California Ave., Avalon.
