At the age of 90 Ellen died peacefully in her sleep on September 6, 2020.She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas W. Sheets, her parents Harry and Dora Fitzsimmons, her sister Harriet Fitzsimmons, her son-in-law Gabriel Negri and grandchildren Ruth and baby boy Negri.  
 
Ellen grew up in Avalon, PA and worked for Mellon Bank.Ellen was a Deacon and active member of the Freemont Avenue United Presbyterian Church in Bellevue, PA.Ellen was an avid crafter, sewing, knitting and crocheting.  
 
Ellen is survied by her sister Sally Fitzsimmons and her 6 children,Leslie Negri (Gabe), Cheryl Cook (Dale), Terri Meiser (Al), Larry (Sharon), Lindasue Manz, Bob (Sundae).Ellen was blessed with a total of 24 Grandchildren and 36 Great Grandchildren.She was a wonderful Mother, a teriffic Grandmother, and Loving Great Grandmother. 
 
Everyone was welcome in her home and no one every went hungry.All who knew her were blessed by her kindness, compassion and love.She was generous and always ready to help anyone in need.She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and anyone who crossed her path. A Celebration of Ellen's Life will be planned at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the McDonald ~ Linn Funeral and Cremation Service, LLC, Avalon , Pa
