Elinor B. Daugherty

Elinor B. (Powell) Daughtery, age 88 of Cranberry Township, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 31, 1935 and was the beloved wife of the late Neil J. Daugherty. 

She is survived by her loving children, Pamela Stanley and Michael (Jodi) Daugherty; her favorite fur grandchild, Dusty, and many loving nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her husband she is preceded in death by her parents, Edward A. and Wilhelmina Powell; and two siblings, Esther Kleber and Edith McCay. 

Elinor was an avid reader, sports fan especially the Pittsburgh Penguins Hockey. A member of Avalon Lutheran Church before they closed and she loved her woman’s circle at the church and she belonged to the booster club for the Pittsburgh Hornets Club Hockey. Elinor loved being with her family and she had a lot of fun with her friends in Atlantic City.

Family and Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, 529 California Ave., Avalon, PA 15202. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 11:00am at the McDonald-Linn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Highwood Cemetery.
