Edward Theodore, Jr.

Age 66, a resident of Orlando, FL, and Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on Saturday, April 11th, 2020, from health complications.  Also known to family as “Ted” and “Good Eddie.”

Ed was born on July 10, 1953 to Edward Theodore Deitt, Sr and Ida Mae Deitt.  Ed was a member of the Navy.  He served from May of 1973 – December of 1976.  He pursued a career in the field of Engineering.  He previously lived in Pittsburgh doing engineer work until he decided to relocate to Florida to pursue a job with Disney. He retired from Disney on March 1, 2018. 

After retiring, Ed spent his time volunteering at The Caring Place, traveling in his motorhome, visiting family, and enjoying the retired life.

Ed is predeceased by his parents.  He is survived by his brother, Thomas Deitt and family.  He is also survived by his sister, Linda Shinn, and family.

Funeral/memorial arrangements will be made at a later date.

So many people have reached about describing their interactions with Ed.  He was known to be a solid, good, kind, intelligent, giving, and loving person.  He will truly be missed. 

This is not a goodbye…it is a see you later!
