Dolores Dombrowicki Elias, age 93 of Bellevue passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Masonic Village of Sewickley. She was born on May 18, 1929 and was the daughter of the late John and Mae George.
She is survived by seven loving children, Theresa (George) Emfinger, Gerri (Abe) Hughes, Deborah (late Jim) Strickland, Diana Green (Steve) Carol (Paul Peterson) Dombrowicki, Lori (Robert) Neubieser, and John Dombrowicki; ten beloved grandchildren, Robert Hughes Jr, Jill Price, Brian Emfinger, Rebecca Godfrey, Elizabeth Snellinger, Sawyer Miller, Ashley Peterson Kowalczyk, Melissa Peterson Newland, Carolyn Doyle, and Graham Schmidt; eighteen great-grandchildren; Abigail, Eleanor, Addison, Cole, Brayden, Brinley, Brianna, Ella, Riley, Halle, Trent, Paetyn, Tessa, Camden, Drew, Jackson, Devin, and Kirk and her brother Audrea George and many nieces and nephews.
Dolores was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother aunt, and friend to all that knew her. She went by many names Hannah, Doll, aunt Lori , Mrs D but her favorite was Grandma. She was an excellent baker and there was always something baking in the oven, her kitchen never seemed to be empty, there was always kids, neighbors and family gathered around the large table. Her door was always open, the more the merrier. She was a retiree of Bell Atlantic, a founding organizer of the North Boroughs Indianettes and was active in the borough.
Family and Friends will be received on Sunday, January 8, 2023 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, 529 California Avenue, Avalon, PA 15202. A Blessing Service will be private to the family.
