COLLETTE JOANNE (PAULL) KERN 

December 17, 1929 – November 19, 2025 

Loving wife and mother, Collette (Jo) Paull-Kern, 95, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025.  A resident of Masonic Villages at Sewickley for the past 4 years and a long-time resident of Kilbuck Twp., PA. Raised in Dormont, PA, Collette and her husband Jim Kern were high school sweethearts and 1947 graduates of Dormont High School.   

Collette had a long career of service employed by numerous restaurants/hotels in the Pittsburgh area, including many years at the Sewickley Country Inn. 

Preceded in death are Husband, James C. Kern, Son, Stephen James, and Daughter, Sharon Joanne.  Also preceded in death are Brothers, Dick (Skip) Paull (Delores of Florida) and Phillip Paull (Diane, deceased.) 

Survived by Daughter, Susan Kern (Bob Merker), Grandchildren: Kelli Ross-Rees (Mike), Kerri Ross, Michael Ross (Jennifer), Phillip Ross, Chad Kern (Kyleen) and Christina Kern of Tampa, FL., Jennifer Bauman and Jamie Lynn Bauman of Tucson, AZ.  plus 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.  Also survived by Brother-in-law, Harry (Bud) Kern (Pat) of Roseburg, OR , and extended family. 

An intimate family service will be held at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home.
