Age 91, of Brighton Heights, passed away peacefully on Monday November 11, 2024. Beloved husband of 24 years to Esther Morgenstern. Step-father of Donna (Stephen Smith) Matthews, Samuel Matthews, Steven Matthews and Michael Matthews. Step-grandfather of Mariah Matthews. Brother of John Morgenstern, Bob Morgenstern, Marlene Yednak and the late Virginia Olsen, Shirley Olson, Roberta Sawders and Garnet Morgenstern. Son of the late David and Dorothy Morgenstern.  Also survived by several nieces, nephews and other family members. Charles was a member of the National Federation of the Blind for over sixty years. He retired as a computer programmer for Mack Truck. Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Friday, November 15, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the McDonald – Linn Funeral and Cremation Service 529 California Avenue Avalon, Pa 15202. A funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be donated to the National Federation of the Blind https://nfbofpa.org/
