Age 95, at Vincentian Home, formerly of Avalon, on May 5, 2012. Charles W. Meyer, husband of the late Margrette E. (Groetzinger) Meyer; father of Karen Gaertner (Richard), Mary Cubakovic (Paul), Charles Michael Meyer (Diane), Stephen Meyer (Nadine), John Richard Meyer (Betty), Elizabeth Janes (Edward), David Meyer (Mary Ruth) and the late William Charles Meyer; also survived by 18 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Friends received on Monday from 4-8 PM at the McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Inc. 529 California Ave. Avalon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM in the Church of the Assumption, Bellevue. Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Vincentian Home, 111 Perrymont Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15237
