Of Avalon, formerly of Bellevue, Pa passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at the age of 97 at Mercy Hospital. He immigrated to the Unites States on November 04, 1953 from Heidelberg, Germany. He secured employment with Blumcraft of Pittsburgh in Oakland and worked there for 43 years. He married Barbara Kern Scharpf on his birthday, August 06, 1955. They bought a house on Highland Place in Bellevue and lived there for 53 years. They had one daughter, Karen (Jim) Neral and two grandsons, Timothy Neral and Christopher (Maria) Neral. Artur was married almost 70 years and was proud to be an American. He never gave up his German roots. He was a friendly and artistic man and could repair and build most anything. Family and friends are welcome at the McDonald-Linn Funeral and Cremation Service 529 California Avenue Avalon, Pa 15202 on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Friday morning at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in United Cemetery on Cemetery Lane. Artur’s family and especially Barbara will deeply miss his generous heart, his kindness and the wonderful man that he was. Memorial contributions may be donated to the American Red Cross in his name.
