Thomas C. Melisko, Sr.

Age 75, of Mars, formerly of Ben Avon, died peacefully on Thursday morning, June 22, 2017. Beloved husband of Katherine Melisko; dear father of Thomas (Karen) Melisko, Jr. and Brett (Judy) Melisko; survived by nine grandchildren; brother of the late Peter Melisko; Ray Melisko, Marianne Ebitz; also survived by his sisters, Be Be Geiser and Robin Hankins. Tom proudly served our country in the 82nd Airborne Division, he was also a Green Beret in the special forces. He was a 53+ year member with I.U.O.E. Local 66 as well as a retired assistant regional director of the International Union of Operating Engineers. Tom was a staunch advocate of the labor movement and spent his career avocation for working men and women. Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the MCDONALD-LINN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICE, LLC., 529 California Ave., Avalon , PA 15202. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the I.U.O.E. Local #66 Scholarship Fund.
