Age 87, of Avalon, peacefully on Monday, July 2, 2018. Beloved husband of 67 years to Shirley (Moran) McGinnity. Father of Gary (Christine) McGinnity, Scott (Susan) McGinnity and Laura (Anthony) Dubato. Grandfather of Heather (Steve) Rosfeld, Ian McGinnity, Nicholas (Jeanine) Dubato, Michael (Julie) McGinnity, Megan McGinnity, Anthony (Shelby) Dubato, and Kaitlin Dubato. Great-grandfather of Anne Rosfeld and Matthew McGinnity. Uncle of Cheryl (the late Wayne) Tringl and Doug (Lala) Miller. Brother of the late Sally (the late David) Miller. Bob served in the National Guard, as an auxiliary policeman for the Borough of Avalon and also on the Avalon Borough Council. Bob was a history enthusiast with a particular interest in the Civil War, and he attended yearly seminars and classes at Gettysburg. He enjoyed visits with his grandchildren and reading. Bob was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan and a dedicated gardener who enjoyed growing fabulous tomatoes. As per Bob’s wishes, service and internment are private.
